Later, Tiramisu was created in a restaurant in Treviso, located in northwest of Venice, called Le Beccherie. Moreover, Carminantonio Iannaccone, a trained pastry chef in the southern city of Avellino opened a restaurant in 1969 named Piedigrotta where he first came up with an idea to make a dessert which represented the regional flavours. Since then,it gained immense attraction from the sweet lovers all around the country. The popularity increased as it was adapted by other chefs with their own blend of recipes. By the early 80’s, Tiramisu was widespread and most celebrated dessert throughout the world. Though, there are numerous variations of Tiramisu as some chefs use other cakes or sweet, yeasted bread such as panettone instead of ladyfingers in it. Usually, the Tiramisu is given three layers texture with mascarpone cheese contrasted with espresso and cocoa.
